^Agree, something should remains, like the name suffixes (-san, -chan, etc), certain pronouns (sempai, onii/onee) since those actually show what level of respect (or disrespect) the character who said it have for the other (seeing "older brother" in translation, I don't know if it's aniki/onii-chan/nii-san, etc) And since adding translator note in each chapter on when some character change his/her way of calling someone is a pain, I think it's better to leave those things there. Especially considering that in Japan, not using any suffix means you're either an extremely rude person, or really close to the other person.
But things like nikuman <-> meatbun, I say use the english one.

With regards to the translation... I'm not really one to take sides on the liberal-vs-literal/honorifics debate; all I want is for the script to flow naturally and not have a hint of awkwardness. There are times when keeping Japanese terms can get quite awkward when it comes to the flow of the dialogue.
IMO, the script for this chapter flowed quite naturally. So yeah, I'm not complaining. ;)
What does that mean? Is that something that would have had an end note the way you used to do things?
I, for one, thought that your end notes at the very least gave us some insight into the creative process (both yours and the mangaka's [that's a closer term than "manga author")].
Also, PLEASE leave the Japanese words in if they are used with honorifics (ex. hentai-san). That is a nickname. Also titles (ex. ojou-sama, senpai, buchou). As you mentioned, the English translation of those are awkward at best.
Do it the way you like. What you feel should be left in or left out is up to you. In the end whiny leechers gonna whine, no matter what you do, so you may as well please yourself.
That said, this particular story seems like it would be more appealing to the more hardcore crowd. Got any way to get a bead on who your audience actually is? What audience do you want, as well?

Analysis aside, my own personal opinion is that I like learning things and the little things are interesting. Since the story takes place in Japan with Japanese speaking characters, that flavour should be retained. I would be highly critical of a story translated from the French that spoke of 'thin pancakes' rather than crepes.
The phrase "some important monkey boss" is pretty much a direct translation. Azuki Azusa likes to use animals for metaphors, even if they end up weird (like the giraffe one). If you think about it, you should be able to imagine a monkey boss acting all important.
The picture in the last page, which I assume is the avatar I typically use, is an avatar Senmu used on Twitter that I shamelessly stole.
The reason I need input from you guys is because I don't really know what the scanlation world is like, as I only read raws. What I expect to be a "common" word may or may not actually be all that common. I thought everyone would know neko and nikuman (so delicious), but that's quite obviously not the case.
Judging by everyone's comments, I think I'll retain a little more Japanese, but not nearly as much as I did previously. If anyone else has more to add, I'm willing to listen.

I see you've decided to retain a bit of the Japanese in the future. I'm fine with that as long they're not the words that made it painful to read in the previous chapters.
for the anti-weaboos out there... did you really think prez/vp isn't a pain in the ass for us non-native speaker? took me 2 minutes to know what vp means (no, i didnt talk about this release, just an example.. and i did need 1 minute to load up google, blame my connection), and agree about nicknames, how d'you translate azu-nyan from K-on or Kuroneko (literally black cat) from oreimo? huh? you just... can't not like all of you westerners (yeah, generalization ftw), we do respect peoples and call them appropriately

I personnaly don't think it is needed to translate : "hentai" and "baka"... To me, their meanings are slightly different than the commonly accepted english equivalents.
Although translating out "baka" is certainly something to be done. Translate japanese that has direct meaning in english. If there is meaning that is not carried into english then leave in Japanese within reason.

Having said that, I won't mind honorifics if you insist on keeping them.
(Also, might I add that it's actually quite hilarious that some people are actually proud to call themselves a weaboo xD )
As a translator, and I'm not trying to sound like an ungrateful and pretentious leech, so please don't take any offense from this, but it your job to keep the translation as *concise* as possible. The aim is to make it easier for the readers to read and also for you to do the least amount of work as possible. T/L notes are distracting and it only gives you more things to do.
For those who really wish to keep the Japanese untranslated as possible, then they should go learn Japanese and leave it raw.
And before someone says something, no, I don't hate the Japanese language. I, myself, have studied it for quite a while...though I'm still a little slow at processing it - which means I could read them raw, but I'd rather read it in English to save time.

I guess some of the more 'painful' parts are simply when something is left in japanese when it needs not to be. Ex. as said before, 'hentai', 'baka', and 'neko'. I guess a more direct example would be in chapter 1 page 4, when "treasure videos" was used, and then following it was a TL note explaining that 'treasure videos' meant 'ero videos'.

About the releases themselves, you really could've assumed certain things. Koutetsu no Ou could've just been renamed as "Steel Queen." Nikuman actually does NOT need to be translated, as it was explained in the first chapter exactly what it was. Ojou-sama could've easily been changed to something like "mistress," but it's not that important. Hentai in certain cases should've been left just as pervert. Buchou should be changed. There are many more, but I stopped at like Chapter 3 so I could go to sleep now.
P.S. Somehow, the way you wrote the little girl's translations made me visualize her using a very young eight-year-old girl tone lol. Good job. I like her.
